18. Which photo editor do you use?

I use Picnik and am very sad that they are closing. I found PicMonkey which is similar, but I was wondering what everyone else uses and if you know of anything else close to Picnik?

I use Photoshop Elements for most of my work.  As much as I'd like to have the full Photoshop I cannot justify the price of that.  I occasionally use, and like, Photoscape, a free, downloadable editor.  Find it at http://photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php

I love PSE.  Have been using it for years and it's great.  I subscribed to their Photoshop Elements Techniques and have learned many tricks from their tutorials.

I also use Photoshop Elements, but did not know about their Photoshop Elements Techniques.  I need to learn how to really get the full benefit from it.

It's a subscription that costs about $50/year.  You get a monthly 'magazine' with techniques and tutorials and the latest on PSE.  And you can use their Photoshop Elements Techniques online service that has ALL of their videos and tutorials archived. Check it out here:

It has been well worth the investment for me.

I'm a dedicated PhotoShop user but then, that's the mainstay of my graphic design business -- using it 90% of the time. Otherwise, I'd be using PhotoShop Elements and give it thumbs up -- it will do most of everything you need and probably a whole lot more and deals can be had.

Not much help here.  I use the full on version of photoshop.  I am also a photographer on the side, so needed it for that too.

Gimp is another free option that may be worth having a look at.  It may not be the most user-friendly program out there, but it offers quite a few functions.  I use Corel Paintshop Pro which is also pretty functional, it runs about 50 bucks I think.
