Featured Zibbeter - BungleBands

A hot new product from a dynamic craftsman has landed in Zibbet recently. We are really excited about both his products and his enthusiasm.

Vito Selvaggio is the creator of Bungle Bands. Although he’s a brand new seller on Zibbet, he has jumped into the forums in a most helpful way, by starting threads like this one, to assist his fellow shopkeepers.

Vito is just 19 years old but exhibits an incredible amount of professionalism that shows he will be successful. We are quite pleased to have him with us. (Vito is the second person on the left in the photo.)

Please enjoy Vito’s interview, leave him a comment, and then use the share tool so others can enjoy his interview, too. Spread the Zibbet love, please.

Hello Zibbeters! (I love saying that.) My name is Vito Selvaggio - yes Italian - and I am from the Chicago area. I am currently going to school to be a high school math teacher. I invented a new concept called “Bungle Bands,” which are rubber band bracelets that can be worn on the wrist, on the ankle, and in the hair. In 2007, I was riding up to our Wisconsin trailer with my mom, and she saw that I was making large ropes with my rubber bands. She told me to make her a bracelet, and four years later I have been selling these at flea markets, to schools for fundraisers, and by word of mouth to friends and family. Now, I especially love providing to schools, teams, and organizations for fundraisers and seeing how much money they can provide for certain causes.

Well, I love my family. When I’m not too wound up in school and my on-the-side work, I love to be with the family. (I’m the cameraman at all of our “get-togethers.”) If I’m not with family, then you will probably see me at home watching TV or on the computer, Zibbetting it up!

Honestly, since I am going to be a teacher, the children do. I can’t stand to sit around while our education keeps getting worse. I made a promise that if Bungle Bands ever did get big, I would definitely make huge contributions to the education system.

I look up to my parents a lot. They’ve gone through a lot in their lives, and by watching them, I know what mistakes to avoid when I get older. I love you, Mom and Dad!

Secretly, I’ve always wanted to be a nude model. Just kidding! I don’t really have any other passions in my life, since I am so young (I am only 19). I guess my goals in life are to grow up, finish college, have a wife and kids, and live happily ever after. One step at a time, of course. College comes first right now.

The COMMUNITY HUB! I absolutely love the idea of making a community where buyers and sellers of all kinds can meet and talk about everything and anything.

I just want to see ‘new’ faces! Seeing Zibbet grow is the first priority on my list. Once Zibbet is huge, then we can have fun by adding other cool features.
One thing I always thought would be cool, though, is contests. I think it would be fun to add different contests where people vote on who creates the best “Community Hub” banner (just for an example).

I don’t do enough, really. I post my products and ideas on different groups on Facebook, and I just started a fan page on there. I mostly promote by word of mouth and, for the fall, e-mailing different schools and groups who might be interested in a fundraiser idea. I also leave business cards in bizarre places like bathroom stalls, changing rooms, and shopping carts - I promise that I don’t mean to litter!

Get involved! Go and roam the forums and just be active. If someone has a question, and you know the answer, go answer it! ;)

a successful teacher. As said before, my one and ultimate pride is that I am going to be a high school math teacher, and before I die, I want to be recognized for the hard work I plan to do as a teacher.
