8. Adsense in My Zibbet

Hi everyone,

Sometime today or tomorrow you will start to see some Adsense advertisements appear at the top of your My Zibbet backoffice. We've chosen to only show non-intrusive text ads, that look like this:

Why Adsense?

Adsense is a product of Google. Adsense is intuitive and should be relevant/targeted to you. We're hoping you'll see ads that are actually useful to you.

Advertising adds another revenue stream to Zibbet. Currently it's a test to see how much revenue it will bring in. This then allows us to estimate potential ad revenue as we continue to grow our seller base.

Please keep in mind that these ads are only seen in your back office. We don't have ads shown on the main Zibbet site, or in a 'Buyers My Zibbet'.

We welcome any questions you may have.

Thanks,

Jonathan.

So, if I understand this, sellers will see these in their own My Zibbet pages, but shoppers will not see this advertising anywhere on the site.  I can live with that, and am pleased that you are taking steps to make Zibbet financially strong, as I believe that Zibbet's success ultimately will benefit us sellers.

That's correct. Shoppers won't see it at all - not even in their Zibbet back office (where they see purchase summaries, messages etc).

That's an interesting idea.  Probably going to be a bit controversial, but I also see it as a way to strengthen Zibbet financially, so I can live with it too.

Possibly controversial - but I think most (if not all), will see it as ultimately benefiting Zibbet (and themselves), just as you do. So it's a win-win in our eyes.

I've got a question - how are advertisements relevant to services available in Australia or NZ helpful to anyone in the USA?  My personal opinion is - I find any advertisements in my face, or in my spaces an intrusion.

The above advertisement is a screenshot. We're based in Australia, so we see Australian related ads. You wouldn't see this particular ad.

Great  ~  I think anything Zibbet can do to bring in income and help keep seller's fees low is great! Also we as sellers may

see some ads that will truly help us or be something we need but didn't know was there!

It's our choice to click on it or not!

Since this is a part of Google, will it help us get into Google?

That's a good point - will this help Zibbet items get fed to Google?

I doubt it, but we're making good progress with our inquiries being escalated up the ranks. Hopefully we'll be able to get your items submitted soon.
