This week’s interview might get some comments that say, “It’s about time!” because Deni has been with Zibbet for a year this month and is a very active and well-known member of Zibbet. Her shop name is BreitWerk.
Everything she creates is a one-of-a-kind work of art. She designs all her own patterns and uses recycled materials to create “revalued” items. Deni also does embroidery and loves custom orders.
Please enjoy the interview, leave Deni a comment, and then use the Share tools so others can read it, too. Please share the Zibbet Love! Thanks.
My name is Denise, but almost everyone calls me Deni. I am very blessed to be married to my best friend for 30 years. Our children are all grown and we are enjoying our time together.I am very involved with my church. I am on the board for the local food pantry, I open and work there every Wednesday morning. I assist during funeral luncheons, participate in the ladies Bible study, Vacation Bible School, Choir and a few other areas. I have also helped with Habitat for Humanity. When I was young, we often had to “make do” with what was available, that meant being creative with things and not being wasteful. There is a joy in creating something unique, meeting a need, making something new from something “discarded” – I call that revaluing.
I always looked up to my mother. She was pretty much a self-taught seamstress and I learned from watching her. She inspired me to create from a young age, teaching me how to embroider and “revalue” to meet needs. There are many things that I am passionate about – my family, of course, helping others and my church. I enjoy nature, our pets (we have 2 dogs and a cat), travel and quiet time at home with my husband. The people! I have made many “invisible” friends through Zibbet. The customer service is excellent. The fact that they listen to what we say and are providing an excellent venue without all the extra fees.
I would like to see an application that would link Facebook, blog or website to my shop. I would like to have Google analytics work for my shop. I would like to have an exhibit section - where we can pull photos/links from shop listings to create an exhibit of items.I share on Facebook, Twitter, my blog, Google+, and I am working on my own website. As a premium account holder, I create discount codes and have a sale section – I promote these through Facebook on the Zibbet Daily Deals page.I also do a few craft fairs each year. I keep my business cards with me and share them when the opportunity arises.By connecting with other Zibbet shop owners. Use all the tools – complete the profile and shop policies sections. Support and promote Zibbet and other Zibbet shop owners.
Organized! LOL – I tend to spread out when I work and I don’t always get it cleaned up between projects. Other than that… I want to be healthy and happy! I am looking forward to doing some traveling and enjoying time with my husband. Thank you for the opportunity to share a little about myself and my shop!DeniTags: Breitwerk, Featured Zibbeters
