but, I think the economy comes into play right now and some folks are keeping prices low so as to get sales they might not get otherwise, because people have less money to spend.
I make shop banners for just $12.00.
Some of them can take me 8 hours or more to create including emails with the customer.
That's $1.50 hour.
Is my time worth more than yet?
Heck yeah!
But if I made my shop banners $50 or $100 would anyone order them?
Think not. Many of my customers are struggling to pay bills just as I am.
I am very happy and thankful that they keep returning to me when they need more graphics for business cards, tags, ads, widgets, craft show banners, door hangers, post cards, packaging, thank you cards and etc.
Also as a buyer, and I have bought a lot from all 4 of my shops combined, everything I have bought has been worth way more than the prices paid. I love many of the high priced items I see but it isn't possible for me to buy them. As a customer I am happy that artists are willing to sell at a lower price like I do to get the sales.
