Counting Blessings

With Handmade Monday behind us, we can look forward to Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday as the 2013 holiday shopping season takes off! In the midst of what I hope will be a successful time of buying and selling wonderful handmade and vintage gifts, I hope that you’ll take a few minutes to look back on the past year and find blessings to count. Here are just a few blessings that I’m thankful for this year…

I’m thankful for Zibbet and the opportunity that this venue provides me to offer for sale items that I love to create. I enjoy the community that is Zibbet’s most visible asset. I’ve made friends and acquaintances here that I would not have met otherwise.

I’m thankful for my health and well being and for that of my family. I have a roof over my head, food on my table and simple things that are considered luxuries in many parts of the world.

I’m thankful for my family. I’m so fortunate to still have both of my parents living just around the corner as well as my sons close by and my brother and his family just a couple of miles away.

When I stop and think about all that I have, those things that I want to complain about seem trivial and small–I am truly blessed! As those of us in the US celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope that all of us whether here or in one of the other wonderful places on planet Earth where Zibbeters live, will count some blessings and enjoy a moment of thankfulness!

Vicki is committed to assisting her fellow Zibbeters improve their shops for successful online selling. She is the owner of five Zibbet shops: LOC Design Studio, Papa Spivey’s Trunk, A Stitch and a Prayer and Think Like a Fish. You can follow Vicki on Twitter and through her LOC Design Studio blog.
