What Makes Your Shop Stand Out?

Zibbet currently has more than 4400 active shops–shops with at least one active item listed. With that number increasing daily, what about your shop makes it stand out in the crowd? Here are some important questions to ask yourself as you seek the answer to the broader question: What makes my shop stand out?

Who is my customer? It’s important to identify the demographic that your items most appeal to. Factors that you need to consider include gender, age, education, income and marital status for starters.

What is my brand? According to Wikipedia, brand is the “name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller’s product distinct from those of other sellers.” Your brand is more than your banner and avatar. Brand is what customers think about when they think of your business and includes the products you sell, the quality of those products, the value of your products and the customer service they receive when they make a purchase.

Who is my competition? Not only do you need to know who your competition is, you also need to know the same things about your customer that you need to know about your own business and brand.

Are my items well placed in Zibbet search results? Google search results? It’s important that you name, describe and tag your items with keywords that your customers will be using when searching for items that you sell.

Best wishes for much success on Zibbet!
