Any Avid Readers Here??? Posted by My Blooming Threads (Kim) on June 2, 2011 at 11:57am in Chit-Chat View Discussions
When I'm not sewing, crocheting, or crafting in some way, I'm most likely to be found between the pages of a good book! I have a book review blog if anyone is interested. I just listed this month's first giveaway for Prophecy by S.J. Parris which is sure to be a good read for the summer! Please feel free to stop by and follow along...

I love reading. I've been a bookworm since I could read. I love collecting books as well, I'm at over 1000 now.... running low on shelf space though! :(
Right now I'm reading "Plain Truth" by Jodi Picoult, her books are all amazing and never disappoint me.

I love to read. Right now I am reading a Matthew Reilly book called "The five greatest warriors" it is action packed right from page 1. I esp love to get in a hot tub with a book and soak for an hour or so!
I have read several Jodi Picoult books but not "Plain Truth." I have read House Rules, My sister's keeper, and I think there is another one about a merry go round but I can't think of the name!

Permalink Reply by All About The Buttons on June 4, 2011 at 6:49am I read many of Jodi Picoult but moved away. I needed light, funny, sweet for awhile not heavy and sad. Love Dorothea Benton Frank and she has a new one coming out now. ? Reply

Ooh a new to me author... Dorothea Benton Frank... I have to follow this on up!
As for my bookshelves.. yeah they're full but most of my fiction I borrow from the public library! I can then spend my money on crafts etc! LOL

Permalink Reply by Nicole Cannon on June 4, 2011 at 8:54am I love to read! I read for about half an hour every night before I go to sleep. That's the only time I have time to read! ? Reply

Permalink Reply by Norma Rudloff on June 4, 2011 at 3:57pm I'm in the middle of "Unsinkable" right now........a good book for those going through difficult times in their lives. I'm not but it doesn't hurt to know that there is hope for a better future when "life" knocks you down and takes the wind out of your sails! ? Reply

I did not give away any of my Barbara Kingsolver books.
I think I have all of them, but have read only 3 so far.

I am always looking for a good book to read!
Thanks for starting this discussion, and I entered your giveaway.
I just read, for the second time, Still Alice, by Lisa Genova. A tear jerker, but a good one - story about Alzheimers and affected family. Makes me cry every time, but actually ends with a happy moment.
