I sometimes hear Zibbet sellers comment that their items aren’t being found in Google searches. I know that it can be frustrating to search Google for a particular listing or a shop name and not find it on the first search results page. Today, I want to assure you that your items are being indexed by Google and that they are being found in Google searches. There’s a simple way for you to see a list of all the pages that Google has indexed for your shop’s URL. Here’s how…
First, go to http://www.google.com.

Next, in the search box, type “site:www.zibbet.com/username”. DO NOT type the quotation marks. DO replace “username” with the username for your shop. Type the word site and then a colon followed immediately by www.zibbet.com/username, replacing username with your shop’s username.
Here’s an example using my LOC Design Studio shop:

Press Enter. You should see a list of all of the pages indexed by Google for www.zibbet.com/username.
In this example, Google shows 507 indexed pages for locdesignstudio. Notice that in addition to item listing pages, profile, policies, feedback, FP, and section pages are also included. If you click the Cached link, which appears immediately after the URL for the page, you can see when Google last looked at your page as well as what the page looked like at the time. The cached version of the page may not look like the actual page looks now. But that’s OK. When someone finds that page in a search, they’ll be taken to the current page.
I hope that when you try this you’ll feel reassured and confident that Google is finding your pages and indexing them. If your shop is new, it may take a couple of days for Google to find you. The same is true when you add new items to your shop. Google may index them immediately or it may take a little while.
Come back next week to learn more about Google searches.
Best wishes for much success on Zibbet!
