Does anyone here use Fire Mountain Gems or a similar venue that offers quantity discounts? I had the idea of pooling together orders to get the best deals. I would be willing to put everything together and then ship everything out to everyone once the order arrives here. We could get the quantity discounts here and I'm betting that I'd be able to do it with everyone paying Fire Mountain's standard $5 shipping with their order. We could pool our resources to get better discounts on items we use.
To put in a 200-item order requires approximately $400-$600 in orders. That's the max discount and about the amount of money required to get that discount. I know most of us don't have that amount just lying around. Whenever I order from them, I try to wait until I need at least 15 items in order to get the discount at that level.
This is just a thought I had and thought I'd just toss it out to see what everyone thinks.
